The rating and pricing are not designed to handle new requirements such as multi dimensional tariff scenarios and the architecture makes changes for the introduction of new services time consuming and costly.
The betacore billing solution has been specifically designed to charge for these new and innovative services enabled by Next Generation Networks. It integrates pre- and postpaid accounts into one system and is designed to handle any charging scenario despite the number of involved parties and complexity of the price plan.
betacore is for startups as well as for established carriers who seek for a dedicated NGN billling system to complement their existing infrastructure. Being a modular Java Enterprise Solution betacore offers easy integration into existing infrastructure through its open APIs.
Customer Care Module
The betacore customer care module handles hierachical customer structures as well as customer groups. It allows n-adresses and contact persons.
With the grouping function customers can be organized according to sales or marketing needs, such as sales organization, marketing target groups or demoscopic criteria.
The lightweight Java GUI of the customer care module is easy to use and allows deployment in call centers. All functions are protected by user group profile and password and changes are logged. When products are assigned to customers the underlying services are automatically generated and attached.
Product Catalog Module
The increasing complexity and variety of the product offerings in the telecom arena demand a highly sophisticated tool to build and organize products.
It is neccessary that on the one hand products are well managed with strict business rules but can on the other hand be defined quick and easily.
The betacore product catalog fullfills these criteria which seem to be divergent. The architectural design decouples the versioning of the principal tariffs from the product versioning and gives the provider the freedom of choice between backoffice tariff adaption and frontoffice product replacement.
Products and tariffs are fully versioned and the rating and pricing engine has access to past price plans in order to rate late XDRs, e.g. from roaming partners.
A newly launched product version provides the choice between keeping customers on the recent version or upgrade them automatically or manually upon customer request.
Inventory and Provisioning Module
The inventory and provisioning module provides open adapters to automate the reservation process for the resources required by the product´s services. System integrators can easily connect the reservation module to third party provisioning or inventory handling solutions.
betacore comes with its own phone number repository which can be deployed out of the box.
